The perpetrator did not live under the same roof with his daughter, but they stayed in touch. However, the man was under the delusion that by having a relationship the girl was leading an “immoral life”. Earlier he had worked in a bath and from there he obtained an acid solution with high acidity. On April 21 last year he bottled half a liter of this solution and went to the bus terminal to wait for his daughter. When she arrived, he asked her why she had come to Orosháza from the village where she was living. When she answered that she had come to see her boyfriend, he poured the acid on her face and chest. The woman ran into the cafeteria, took off her contaminated clothing and washed the acid off herself, but even thus she suffered injuries healing in over 8 days. The Orosháza District Prosecutor’s office is prosecuting him for aggravated bodily harm.

The perpetrator has admitted his deed. The District Prosecutor’s office has asked for a suspended prison sentence with mandatory psychiatric treatment. The case is not yet closed.
